Protect your Grand Haven Restaurants name with a germ protection program.

Germ Protection Program

One customer getting sick in your Grand Haven restaurant can do a lot of harm to your name.  It may be that it will be reported through social media about getting sick, or your restaurant may be shut down and need to be cleaned from top to bottom before it can be opened for business again.  This can all be avoided with a germ protection program from EcoVive.

Keeping you Grand Haven restaurant clean is the first step, but cleaning is not sanitizing. And, most employees are not properly disinfecting tables when they clean them off.  For the normal use of bleach water to be effective it must remain “wet” on the surface for 5-10 minutes.  Do your employees do this?

With the use of an Ozone treatment, which will significantly reduce germs, viruses and bacteria on both porous and non-porous surfaces, followed by an Antimicrobial Treatment with BioZone protectant which protects surfaces up to 90 days?

The application is guaranteed to significantly reduce germs long term. We show the process is working by performing a simple swab test which shows a germ “count” before and after the treatment process. During the 90 day window a random testing can be done to show the treatment is still working.

When a facility has been treated with BioZone Protectant, a logo will be placed in an obvious place so that your customers will know that your restaurant has taken the proper steps to create a healthy indoor environment for their safety.

To find out more about this important program give us a call, or fill out our contact form on our website and we will contact you.

Remember, once someone becomes ill in your restaurant and spreads the word, it is much harder and often times more expansive to gain the public’s trust.

Residential Ozonated Water Systems

EcoVive of Grand RapidsOzonated Water systems

Residential Ozonated Water Systems.

In the case of cleaning, ozonated water is often referred to as the miracle cleaner.. The extra oxygen atom in ozone can attack dirt, pollutants or microbes in the same way that chlorine does. But after attaching itself and killing the pollutants or microbes, ozone returns back into non-toxic oxygen and water.  No hazardous household waste is left over. No toxic chemicals are left over that can harm the environment after you dump excess cleaner down the sink. As with any chemical cleaner, you should avoid breathing the air directly over the cleaning operation.

The XytoBlast sanitizing system

Because ozone has a very short life, leaving ordinary water behind, it is impossible to buy ozonated water cleaners at your local store. Ozone must be generated immediately before use. The XytoBlast Sanitizing System does this by passing an electrical current through oxygen and dissolving the ozone into clean water.

Aqueous Ozone can be used for cleaning fruits, vegetables, meats and other foods as well as for using around the house as a substitute for other spray cleaners — to remove stains, or clean and sanitize surfaces.

Ozone is often compared to bleach and other chlorinated products as they are used in many of the same disinfection applications. When used as such ozone has proven to be 50% stronger and 3000x faster than bleach. In fact Ozonated water is used to launder clothes and to sanitize food, drinking water, and surfaces in the home. According to the (FDA), it has given Ozone and Ozonated water a GRAS rating. (Generally recognized as safe) to provide for the safe use of ozone in gaseous and aqueous (liquid) phases as an antimicrobial agent on food, including meat and poultry.”

XytoBlast ozone systems are available in West Michigan from EcoVive of Grand Rapids. If you would like to find out more about ozonated water, and how it can help make for a safer household, give us a call, or visit our website at:  EcoVive of Grand Rapids.

School Sanitizing

School Sanitizing

Enterovirus D68

Enterovirus D68 is going to sweep through our schools and daycare centers like a cruel stalker to make countless children very sick. Dozens of cases have already been confirmed.  While the reaction from school officials to a threat like this is to perform a school sanitizing by wiping every thing down with a bleach cleaner will help, it is not the best method. When school opens the next day the first infected child to touch a surface voids all cleaning efforts. This is because the bleach offers no lasting benefits. School sanitizing needs to go further than just bleach, it needs to offer a long lasting protection of all surfaces against germs and viruses.

We offer a better solution to fighting of these dangerous viruses.  With a treatment of our Biozone protectant, not only will a complete school sanitizing be performed, but also a layer of protection will be in place that is constantly fighting the reinfection of surfaces that have been treated.  Biozone protectant is a 24/7/365 germ fighting program, that can be applied to any surface, hard or soft. It is non-toxic, non-transferring and non-leaching. Once dry, there is no worries of little children putting things in their mouths.

If schools and daycare centers are sanitizing with bleach water they are doing o.k. But they need to be doing more. Bleach works, but it’s like the difference between a match and a blowtorch. A match will burn for a minute, but a blowtorch will burn for hours. If you are fending off a fierce threat, you do not want to use a match if you could be using a blowtorch.

School is in ! The Enterovirus is already spreading and making children seriously ill, and even killing some. EcoVive has an answer that will do the job of protecting our children.

Antimicrobial coating protection against germs and viruses

Antimicrobial coating helps protect against germs and viruses

Are you worried about all the viruses and germs that seem to be showing up lately? Being proactive instead of reactive to these viral threats can help keep you or a family member from becoming seriously ill.

Germs spread by Direct Contact with people, Indirect Contact with shared surfaces, or by coughs and sneezes. Interrupting these pathways to infection and promoting a healthier environment is what EcoVive of West Michigan offers.

Germ and virus protection

Cleaning is not sanitizing. The EPA points out that sanitizers must be on the surface for 2-10 minutes to kills common bacteria and virus. Cleaning programs do not allow for proper sanitizing practices. Plus, consider the real cost of manpower and toxic chemicals to sanitize a building. EcoVive offers an Antimicrobial surface treatment that can be applied to all surfaces, walls, and materials in far less time, with greater results.

The spread of dangerous bacteria and viruses is inhibited by the protective coating. We are pleased to demonstrate and provide estimates for the year-round antimicrobial treatment. This is not a spray sanitizer. It is a treatment that stays on the surface working 24/7 to inhibit bacteria, germs, odors, allergens, mildew, and even mold. It works like an air purifying system that attracts microbial threats with a biostatic charge, and then pierces the microbes as they land.

This Micro-biostatic Antimicrobial Coating forms a nano bed of spikes on surfaces that disrupt the microorganism’s membrane. This will cause the microbe to lose energy and quickly die. This new technology provides a perfect approach to inhibiting microorganisms without the use of unsafe heavy metals or poisons. This mode of action is entirely unique to other  antimicrobial sprays.

The molecule in the Antimicrobial coating is made up of several sections. One end of the molecule forms a strong bond to the surface that it is applied onto or into. The surface can be either porous or non-porous. The other end of the molecule forms a microscopic bed of nails that stand straight up from the surface. This nano bed of nails disrupts the microbe’s membrane resulting in its demise. All of this takes place without the use of heavy metals, poisons, or chemicals.

Because this Antimicrobial Coating mechanically disrupts the membrane of microbes, no antimicrobial resistant “superbugs” are ever created from the treatment.

Office Sanitizing Grand Rapids

Bacteria, germs and viruses can be discovered in every environment and are part of normal everyday life. Even in the cleanest environments, many kinds of microbes will begin to multiply on surfaces and sometimes reach harmful levels. If these contaminated surfaces are touched by individuals the transfer of microbes begins, resulting in cross-contamination. Pathogenic bacteria, such as MRSA, STAPH and E.coli can be spread via cross-contamination, which can lead to infection and illness in humans and animals.

EcoVive’s antimicrobial BioZone applications provide durable surface protection, continuously working 24/7 to inhibit the growth of microbes which can cause sickness, stains and odors. This protection will not wash off or wear away, giving it durable antimicrobial surface protection for three to six months.

The BioZone product molecularly bonds to treated surfaces, and can be applied to porous and non-porous surfaces, creating a microscopic layer of what could be described as a layer of nails that rupture the outer membrane of the bacteria, germs and viruses on contact. This type of protection does not rely on chemicals to protect but rather a mechanical process.

This means that every treated surface becomes a bacteria fighting part of infection control. Bacteria and germs simply have no safe place to land and colonize.

Protecting your office has never been easier, or more dependable than with an Antimicrobial treatment from EcoVive.

Shopping Cart Protection

Shopping Cart Protection

A number of studies completed on shopping carts have raised health concerns. Shopping carts are always mentioned high on the list of the dirtiest areas. Children and the elderly are especially prone to the Coliform bacteria found on most carts.

Are you interested in providing shopping cart protection against germs?  Having a BioZone AntiMicrobial surface treatment by EcoVive is the answer to this problem. Our treatment is not a chemical reaction, but rather a mechanical process that is a bacteria-fighting layer of protection. Bacteria and germs simply have no safe place to land, colonize, or spread.

Build customer loyalty and reduce labor costs while your patrons enjoy shopping with confidence you are protecting them.

Harsh, toxic chemicals are commonly used in sanitizing wipes, but they don’t sanitize for very long.Independent lab testing shows that the BioZone antimicrobial treatment is capable of dramatic reduction of microbial threats.  Cleaning is always essential, but adding a BioZone Protectant treatment on a regular cycle can provide extraordinary microbial reductions as high as 99% over a 30-60 day cycle.  The fact that BioZone Protectant can be applied with a minimum of interruption is important.  BioZone application is certainly less expensive than gallons of disinfectants, many hours of paid labor, and the fact that there is no residual protection in these traditional sanitizing methods.  So don’t just put up a dispenser alongside the shopping carts, put a layer of protection on every cart.

Home Disinfection in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Chemical Disinfectants in Your Home, are they helping      or hurting you

Chemical Disinfectants are indeed a necessity in the medical field. But they’re also a classic example of a good thing gone bad. Many people today go on cleaning frenzies in their own homes, using disinfectants on their kitchen countertops, bathrooms, floors and even in their laundry.

But while disinfectant soap may be a good idea before surgery, there’s no need to use it every time you wash your kitchen counters.

One of the major problems with these cleaners, as studies have pointed out, occurs when they don’t completely eliminate bacteria or viruses.

When disinfectants are used in low levels, researchers have found that they actually make certain bacteria stronger and resistant to antibiotic treatment. This is true even in hospital settings, and certainly applies to the low-level disinfectants many use around their homes.

While building up antibiotic-resistance and thereby contributing to the creation of superbugs, chemical disinfectants disrupt the balance of bacteria, both good and bad, in your home, making it much easier for the bad bacteria to flourish.

Meanwhile, the chemicals themselves are toxic in their own right.

Are you introducing Toxic Chemicals into your home as you clean?

The invention of chemical disinfectants is credited to Joseph Lister, an English surgeon who, back in the late 19th century, used carbolic acid to soak surgical dressings. To this day, Lister’s carbolic acid, now known as phenol, is a common main ingredient in household detergents like Lysol, Pine-Sol and Spic-n-Span (it’s also found in mouthwash).

When you use these “cleaning” products in your home, you’re also exposing your family to their harmful properties. Phenol is toxic and people who are hypersensitive can experience serious side effects at very low levels. Studies have linked phenols to:

  • Damage to your respiratory and circulatory systems
  • Heart damage
  • Respiratory problems
  • Damage to your liver, kidneys and eyes
  • Nonyl phenol ethoxylate, a common ingredient in laundry detergents and all-purpose cleaners, is banned in Europe, and biodegrades slowly into even more toxic compounds

Beyond phenol, other chemicals found in household disinfectants include:

  • Formaldehyde, found in spray and wick deodorizers, which is a suspected carcinogen
  • Petroleum solvents in floor cleaners may damage mucous membranes
  • Butyl cellosolve, found in many all-purpose and window cleaners, may damage your kidneys, bone marrow, liver and nervous system
  • Triclosan, the active ingredient in most antibacterial products, not only kills bacteria, it also has been shown to kill human cells

EcoVive offers a better way to protect your family against harmful germs and bacteria.  Ozone, which is one of nature’s most powerful disinfectant oxidizer,

will eliminate the germs and bacteria in your home and not leave behind any harmful by-products. This is followed by an Anti-Microbial surface treatment that forms a non-leaching bond with all the surfaces to protect against odors, germs, bacteria and viruses. This is achieved not with chemicals, but with what could be described as building a microscopic razor wire fence on all surfaces that rips apart any cell that tries to get through.

It is time that we start getting away from all the chemicals being used, and use what is a natural, and better way to protect against disease causing “bugs”.

Cigarette odor removal from cars Grand Rapids

Vehicle Odor Removal

Cigarette odor removal from cars.

One of the worst things to smell in a car is the cigarette odor. Most people would never purchase a vehicle that smelled of cigarettes. But many times car dealerships will cover up the smell enough that it is not noticeable when the car is for sale. But give that car a couple of weeks and the smell will return.

Regular methods of cleaning and deodorizing a vehicle are not always enough. Cigarette odors are particularly difficult to remove because smelly chemical compounds can penetrate deep into the upholstery and padding. An ozone shock treatment will send pure ozone (O3) deep into every crevice, destroying these odorous compounds that could not be washed away.

The same as with any ozone treatment, always start here: clean up the source of the smell! If you are dealing with cigarette odors, assess the problem and clean the affected areas with a quality automotive cleaner. It will help in the elimination of the odor if the interior has been completely cleaned. Wipe down all surfaces, seats, dashboard, headliner and carpet. This will remove the film that is left behind by the smoke, but will not get rid of the odor.

Before you spend money on all kinds of chemical treatments, or cover-up scents trying to perform a cigarette odor removal on your own, call EcoVive, we will remove the stink, and most likely save you money in the long run.

Sanitizing Service

Sanitizing Service

You have your home or office cleaned, but is it sanitized? Does your cleaning company disinfect your front door handle, chairs, couches, tables, bathrooms? In fact, or sanitizing service goes a step further than most traditional cleaning services in the fact that all surfaces are treated. Both hard and soft surfaces are sanitized. We can and we do!  Traditional cleaning methods are a small step in the right direction in the fight against bacteria. Yes these cleaners, including chlorine, will eliminate germs after a period of time, but are not as effective as ozone and BioZone. Traditional cleaning only affects about 30% of an indoor space. Effective sanitizing with household chemicals would require every square inch of surface be wiped. This would require a lot of time, money, and bring about major health concerns.  Ozone is 100% natural; no chemicals are introduced into your indoor environment.
Ozone is a broad base sanitizer. Ozone will disinfect 3000 times faster and is 50 times more powerful than chlorine bleach. It is a gas that will work on every surface and will penetrate soft surfaces (carpet, draperies, mattresses, furnishings). When the Ozone sanitizing treatment is complete, your interior will be 99.9% sanitized. Follow up with our BioZone treatment for 90 days of protection from germs, odors, mold, allergens, and disease.

We provide an ATP sampling/testing of high touch areas to show that our sanitizing system is working.  We will take readings before the treatment begins, and then again after the sanitizing service is complete. This way you know for sure that you are being protected from bacteria and germs.

Call EcoVive today for a free ATP test and an estimate!
